Visitors from Far and Wide

Wyoming Atlatl and Social Club was lucky in having several visitors for the January 25 & 26, 2012

In particular was a visit by Christine Petersen, a Columnist for the Casper Star Tribune, and her husband on Saturday.  Here is a link to one of the images she took.  We also look forward to her upcoming article on their visit on a windy day  in January.

I would like to thank our visitors for making the Trek. It was wonderful to have you as part of the group. For your next visit you will have enjoy lunch with us!

In another post I will try to get Coyote Clown to introduce the visitors that we will be feverishly courting into the fold hopefully for the future.  It will be a treat to share as it was a treat for all of us to meet them and to see a different throwing style.  So with that tantalizing tidbit… you have to wait for the next post!

Colorado Atlatl Throwers Society Event-July 30-31

Coming right up. See the CATS page for more info!  See you there!

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a terrific throw at our summer Atlatl Park, between Cheyenne and Laramie.  The weather was fabulous and the mosquitos were hungry!!

Saratoga Event a Huge Success

The 30th Annivery of the Kid’s World Atlatl Contest & Atlatl Symposium was a huge success in Saratoga this weekend.  The Coyote Clown will update you on all the particulars.  But in a nutshell, the event was well attended, there were lots of 3D targets, including the debut of Little Eric, and the weather was the usual Wyoming “is it spring or is it not” type of thing.  The symposium Saturday afternoon focused on the archaeological history of the atlatl and the history of the Wyoming Atlatl & Social Club.  A silent auction followed with many unique items available.  The evening was topped off with an awards banquet to honor the participants and the supporters.

Mammoth goes to Saratoga

So, how does a mammoth go from Cheyenne to Saratoga in 2011?

U-Haul it…… 🙂
